Sharryn was a Pro Chancellor at Newcastle University, and a recent recipient of a very rare awarding of their ‘Medal for Exceptional Service’ for her role in ensuring the highest levels of governance were met through ethical and transparent structures. She is a past President of the NSW Federation of Parents and Citizens’ Associations and an inaugural member of the NSW Institute of Teachers Council. Sharryn has also held several other state and local Board positions including the Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority. Sharryn shares her experience and understanding of business and government agencies across education, health, housing and community services. Sharryn is also a small business owner.
