Figuring out where to start can be quite tricky, so we've created this quick guide to accessing home care.

Assessment

My Aged Care will complete an assessment with you over the phone. Depending on the outcome of your phone assessment, My Aged Care will organise an assessment to see whether you can receive a government subsidy.

If you need just some basic or short term home care assistance with things like looking after your housework, personal care or shopping you may be approved for help via the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP).

If your needs are more complex, you will be approved for a Home Care Package at a level between 1 and 4, with level 4 being the highest.

Wait

It can be quite a wait to get your funding. While you are waiting, we can also support you with private Home Care at competitive rates.

Choose us to manage your services

Once you have received your funding, you will receive a letter saying your package has been 'assigned'. You can now choose Coast Community Connections to deliver your Home Care Services.
